By participating in the Fall Product Program Girl Scouts will help raise funds for their troop and learn important financial and business skills! Girls can sell to friends, family and neighbors. Category: Volunteer Opportunities[9:30am] Learning Fair
Description:
It's an all-day learning extravaganza. Fulfill your training requirement while making new friends and having fun! This day is divided into morning and afternoon sessions. Lunch will not be provided, so please bring a sack lunch. Simply pick classes you will attend (on registration form), and submit to either Service Center. Deadline to register is one (1) week prior to the date of the Learning Fair. Morning Session: 9:30 a.m.-12 p.m. Choose from Girl Scouting 101, PB&J Workshop, Girl Scout Junior Grade Level, or Girl Scout Cadette/Senior/Ambassador Grade Level Lunch & Learn: 12p.m.-1p.m. Afternoon Session: 1-3:30 p.m. Choose from Girl Scouting 101, PB&J Workshop, Girl Scout Daisy/Brownie Grade Level or Girl Scout Silver Award Training* *This session ends at 3pm and requires a $5 fee.

Learn about these wild animals, and find out what you can do to help those injured on their way to rehabilitation. [1:00pm] Girl Scout Silver Award Training
Description:
This workshop is for registered Girl Scout Leaders who have Cadettes interested in working on the Girl Scout Silver Award. In this workshop, leaders will learn how to identify what/where their communities' needs are, learn how to brainstorm with the girls about community needs, how to work together to discover possible project ideas and how to work with their girls to complete their projects. Leaders will also learn the benefits of the award, how parents and mentors can help, how to fill out paperwork, donation guidelines and more. This training is required to earn the Girl Scout Silver Award. Projects should not be started until a Cadette level Journey has been completed and at least one leader from the troop has attended a training. However, troops may choose to complete one Cadette level Journey, as required, before a leader attends the training. Learning Fairs To register for a Silver Award Training at a Learning Fair, please fill out and submit a Learning Fair registration form (found in the Volunteer Learning Course Catalog) along with payment. Or, perhaps you would like to take a trip to the East or West coast? The possibilities are endless! Before you pack your bags, come to this informational meeting/program to get a glimpse of all the travel opportunities Girl Scouts can provide. This program is open to girls (Juniors-Ambassadors), parents, troop leaders and/or Service Unit team members. We will have some hands-on activities, talk about council-sponsored trips, Destinations, have a question/answer session and hear from girls who have taken part in our unique traveling opportunities.
