[8:00am] First Aid, CPR, and AED Training
- Description:
- NEW! This course has been revised and updated by the American Red Cross and is now a 2-year certification for First Aid, CPR and AED. This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to act in an emergency until professional medical help arrives. You will learn and practice adult, child and infant CPR and first aid skills. You will also learn how to administer an Automated External Defibrillator. This training is REQUIRED for one adult per troop when participating in activities away from meeting site.
Who: Adults who will be serving as the trained first-aider and/or CPR certified adult for the troop/group.
Cost: $35.50 (includes book, certification card, skills booklet and bandage kit) OR $27 (includes certification card, skills booklet and bandage kit). Additional $5 for non-Girl Scouts. Financial assistance is available.
Bring: Sack lunch and drink. Dress comfortably.

Deadline: Registration closes two (2) weeks prior to the day of the training.

[10:00am] Girl Scout Gold Award Trainings - CANCELLED
- Description:
- THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO LOW REGISTRATIONS. This workshop is for registered Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors interested in working on the Girl Scout Gold Award. In this workshop, girls will learn the steps to earn the Girl Scout Gold Award, the history and benefits of the award, how parents and leaders can help, how to fill out paperwork and more. This training is required to earn the Girl Scout Gold Award. Projects should not be started until after training and completing the required Journey book(s). However, girls/troops may choose to complete one or two Senior/Ambassador Journey books as required before attending the training. *Please note: Girls who have earned their Silver Award will be required to only complete one Senior/Ambassador level Journey before starting their projects. Girls who did not earn their Silver Award will need to complete two Senior/Ambassador level Journey books before starting their projects. Adults are limited to Girl Scout ratios.
