Description:
THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN CANCELLED. Please note the time change from the last program book. You are too wise for the Night at the Museum, so the National Great Rivers folks have created a fun event just for you. Paddle the river, shoot archery, learn Native American dances, try foods and crafts inspired by the Mississippi River culture and spend the night under the stars (or in the museum) on the river. Category: Brownie Programs[12:00am] Snooze at the Zoo - Zooper Zoos (cont.)
Description:
Have you ever wondered how Zookeepers take care of the animals? Do you think the Zoo helps animals in the wild? Would you like to help the animals of the Saint Louis Zoo and animals like them in the wild, but don't know what to do? Come to Snooze at the Zoo and discover the answers to these questions plus sleep at the Zoo! Girl Scouts and adult leaders will simulate keeper duties in a keeper care relay, participants will try diagnosing animals when they become a Snooze veterinarian, put on some Safari gear and try your hand at simulated field research! Overnight evening activities will include a live animal encounter, rotations through exciting activities, an evening pizza snack (with a soft drink), and a night hike around Zoo grounds, which includes a flashlight tour of the herpetarium. The morning portion of the overnight adventure includes a continental breakfast, a morning stroll around Zoo grounds to see the animals wakeup, a souvenir Zoo patch and glow-in-the-dark overnight cup! THIS PROGRAM IS NOW FULL & CLOSED.Brownies, grab a net and help the rangers at Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge capture and tag migrating Monarch Butterflies! Come find out what a pollinator is, try a sweet honey treat and make a buggy craft as you earn your Bugs Badge! You will spend time both indoors and outdoors. Description:
THIS PROGRAM IS NOW FULL & CLOSED. Take your bear best friend on a trip through Camp Whispering Oaks! Activities will include stuffing a bear (similar to Build a Bear), playing games, singing songs, hiking and enjoying a tea party with your new best friend. Activity stations will be ran by Girl Scout Junior-Ambassador troops. Include your first, second and third choice on session time. Start times scheduled every 20 minutes within each hour block and assigned first come, first serve. Each session lasts about 2 hours.
