The Girl Scout Gold Award Committee is a group of dedicated volunteers who offer support and guidance to girls pursuing the Girl Scout Gold Award. The committee reviews and accepts initial proposals for the Girl Scout Gold Award projects and provides valuable feedback to enhance the success of the project. Committee members mentor girls earning their Gold Award, hear final reports from girls who have completed their projects and approve the final award.
Girls wishing to present their initial proposal or final project must submit the appropriate paperwork AT LEAST 2 WEEKS BEFORE the meeting they plan to participate in. (All paperwork must be typed.) This provides the committee ample time to review paperwork and prepare for the meeting.
Intent interviews are conference call phone interviews. However, final projects will be presented in person to committee members THREE times this year. Projects must be approved by the March 3, 2012 meeting in order for girls to receive their pins at the All That Glitters Ceremony in April.
