For this Community Service Project, we challenge each GSSI troop to donate a pair of pajamas (adult or kid sizes) or package of underwear equal to the number of girls in your troop to a shelter, pantry, place of worship or non-profit organization in your area. Please check with your chosen location first to make sure they are accepting this type of donation.

NEW! This course has been revised and updated by the American Red Cross and is now a 2-year certification for First Aid, CPR and AED. This course will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to act in an emergency until professional medical help arrives. You will learn and practice adult, child and infant CPR and first aid skills. You will also learn how to administer an Automated External Defibrillator. This training is REQUIRED for one adult per troop when participating in activities away from meeting site.
Who: Adults who will be serving as the trained first-aider and/or CPR certified adult for the troop/group.

Come learn about camping the Girl Scout way in a fun and safe environment. This course is designed to help adults plan and prepare for an overnight camping event with girls. This training is REQUIRED for one adult per troop for overnight camping experiences of two (2) nights or less. Certification is valid for three years. Come learn about camping the Girl Scout way in a fun and safe environment. This course is designed to help adults plan and prepare for an overnight camping event with girls. Course content includes: site information and resources, campfire building, emergency and safety procedures, indoor/outdoor cooking and recipes, menu planning and camp activities. This training is REQUIRED for one adult per troop for overnight camping experiences of two (2) nights or less. Certification is valid for three years. Recertification written test is available from the Corporate or Regional Service Center.

This workshop is for registered Girl Scout Leaders who have Cadettes interested in working on the Girl Scout Silver Award. In this workshop, leaders will learn how to identify what/where their communities' needs are, learn how to brainstorm with the girls about community needs, how to work together to discover possible project ideas and how to work with their girls to complete their projects. Leaders will also learn the benefits of the award, how parents and mentors can help, how to fill out paperwork, donation guidelines and more. This training is required to earn the Girl Scout Silver Award. Projects should not be started until a Cadette level Journey has been completed and at least one leader from the troop has attended a training. However, troops may choose to complete one Cadette level Journey, as required, before a leader attends the training.

Come learn about camping the Girl Scout way in a fun and safe environment. This course is designed to help adults plan and prepare for an overnight camping event with girls. Course content includes: site information and resources, campfire building, emergency and safety procedures, indoor/outdoor cooking and recipes, menu planning and camp activities. This training is REQUIRED for one adult per troop for overnight camping experiences of two (2) nights or less. Certification is valid for three years. Recertification written test is available from the Corporate or Regional Service Center.

Witches and ghosts aren't flying through the air...YOU ARE! Put on your best spooky costume and head on out to American Obstacle for a screaming good time! You will be doing the zip line canopy tour which can be reached via a 40 foot climbing wall! Spookily soar along through the creepy canopy on 3 different zip lines and traipse across 2 different sky bridges! Girls must be at least 75 pounds. Please make sure costumes do not have capes or robes and that you will be able to wear a safety harness.
