Camp Butterfly is approximately 960 acres of gently rolling & steep hills, rocky bluffs and water, located near Farmington, Missouri. Known as the “Big Sky” place, its seemingly endless, sprawling lands embrace two large spring-fed lakes: Rainbow Lake (38) acres and Butterfly Lake (53) acres. The lakes are the headwaters of the river Aux Vases.
Camp Butterfly campers may enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including: hiking, wildlife viewing, canoeing, sailing, paddle boating, swimming, fishing, rappelling, volleyball, basketball, stargazing, campfires, and hay rides.
Accommodations range from primitive camping units to tree house cabins, and from retired
MO-PAC cabooses to platform tents. Facilities include pit latrines and flush toilets, hot and solar showers and a commissary with a commercial kitchen. Sorry, no winterized units in camp.
