Volunteers make Girl Scouting possible. The time and talent they
devote to enriching girls lives is truly remarkable and makes a
lasting impact on the lives of girls, our local communities and the
world. To help honor the amazing women and men making a difference
through the Girl Scout movement, please consider nominating a volunteer (or volunteers) for a
Girl Scout adult award. Every year at the Girl Scouts of Southern
Illinois Annual Meeting, we hold a very special awards ceremony to
honor extraordinary volunteers and all that they have contributed to
the Girl Scout Leadership Experience. Here are some of the basics

Nominations can be e-mailed, faxed, or mailed to the Volunteer Experience Department. Nominations must be received no later than Tuesday, January 16, 2018 (postmarked no later than January 13).
The Adult Awards are given to adult volunteers and volunteer service-delivery teams or committees.
The nominating individual cannot also submit an Endorsement for the same person.
Adult Awards are submitted to the Adult Awards Committee. The committee reviews and approves these recognitions based upon criteria put forth from the Girl Scouts of U.S.A.
Members of the Adult Awards Committee cannot nominate or endorse volunteers.
Council staff may not nominate; however, they may submit an Endorsement.
All award recipients must be registered members of Girl Scout of U.S.A. and be in good financial standing with no outstanding debt to GSSI.
