Girl Scout Gold Award Committee

The Girl Scout Gold Award Committee is a group of dedicated volunteers who offer support and guidance to girls pursuing the Girl Scout Gold Award. The committee reviews and accepts initial proposals for the Girl Scout Gold Award projects and provides valuable feedback to enhance the success of the project. The committee also hears final reports from girls who have completed their projects and approves the final award. For questions, please contact Emily Wilson.

Girls wishing to present their initial proposal or final project must submit the appropriate paperwork AT LEAST 3 WEEKS BEFORE the meeting they plan to participate in. (All paperwork must be typed.) This provides the committee ample time to review paperwork and prepare for the meeting.

Intent interviews will now be done by phone; however, final projects will be presented to the committee members THREE times this year. Projects must be approved by the March 5, 2011 meeting in order for girls to receive their pins at the All That Glitters Ceremony in April.

Intent Interviews will be held on the following dates at 6:30 p.m.:
August 4, 2010; October 6, 2010; November 3, 2010; February 2, 2011; April 6, 2011 and May 4, 2011.

Final Report Interviews will be held on the following dates at 10 a.m.:
September 11, 2010; November 13, 2010 and March 5, 2011. Interviews will be held at the Corporate Service Center in Glen Carbon, Camp Wassatoga in Effingham and Heartland Healthcare Center in Marion.
