If You Can Think It, You Can Do It.

Girl Scouting would not be the strong program it is today without the dedicated work of adult volunteers. Girl Scout volunteers are guides and advisors as a girl discovers her values; a support as she connects with the world; and a believer as she takes action to make a difference.

From troop meetings to field trips, fund raising activities to outdoor programs, volunteers serve as the backbone and expertise for the council.

Can you imagine yourself becoming a Girl Scout volunteer? Below are just a few examples of volunteer opportunities with Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois:

  • Troop Leader or Co-Leader
  • Event Coordinator
  • Troop Organizer/Consultant for Schools
  • Driver/Chaperone for Troop Activities
  • Trainer
  • Consultant for Special Interest Projects
  • First-Aider
  • Representatives for Community Organizations
  • Fund Development Coordinator
  • Public Relations Coordinator

Are you ready to get started? If so, contact Carolyn Brooks at cbrooks@gsofsi.org or visit the Training section of our website.

Please keep in mind that Girl Scouting is a membership organization. All adult volunteers register by completing a registration form and submitting the $12 annual membership registration dues. Or, you may prefer to become a Lifetime Member. Lifetime membership dues are $300 (25 times annual dues.)
