Jackie Ridgley from Alton Recognized with GSofSI Spotlight Award

Volunteer Spotlight for web

Volunteer Jackie Ridgley from Alton, who serves as a volunteer with Service Unit 101 Alton/Godfrey/Wood River/Roxana, has received the Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois Spotlight Award. This is what her nominator, Jennifer Melton, had to say about her:

"Jackie leads a troop of Brownies in our Service Unit, serves as our registrar and also volunteered to serve as a delegate this year. I recently had the opportunity to see their troop communication and troop procedures. Her troop is definitely setting the mark for troops in our area. Their troop of Brownies as a whole is in full uniform at every field trip and meeting. They have been camping two or three times already this year, with more planned. Jackie and her co-leaders are definitely doing what it takes to build leaders of the future within their troop.

The GSofSI Spotlight Award recognizes the incredible service and dedication that our amazing volunteers devote to Girl Scouts' mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Volunteers are nominated by their peers as a way to celebrate their achievements and commitment to the Girl Scout movement.
