Erica Perez from O'Fallon Recognized with Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois Volunteer Spotlight Award

VolunteerSpotlight_SFMC

Erica Perez from O'Fallon, who serves as a volunteer in Service Unit 201 O'Fallon/Shiloh has received the Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois Volunteer Spotlight Award. This is what her nominator, Debbie McAuliffe, had to say about her:

"Erica Perez took over leadership of her daughter's troop when they were second grade Brownies and she is still guiding these girls to excel as fifth grade Juniors. Quite simply, what makes Erica stand out is that she responds. When questions go out about events and potential participation, Erica responds even if her troop can't make it. When a survey went out in October about a potential service unit event in December, Erica was one of only 8 leaders out of 50 to respond. The fact that she took the time to read the email and answer the survey speaks volumes about who Erica is. Erica makes time to attend leader meetings, she answers emails, she engages and responds - that is a quality of a tremendous volunteer and one that deserves recognition. Erica is a warm, kind and generous person - a truly wonderful person, and an exceptional Girl Scout Volunteer!"

The Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois Volunteer Spotlight Award recognizes the incredible service and dedication that our amazing volunteers devote to Girl Scouts' mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Volunteers are nominated by their peers as a way to celebrate their achievements and commitment to the Girl Scout movement.
