With the recent update from the governor of Illinois, Girl Scouts will continue to update in-person guidelines provided by the State of Illinois and the official Coronavirus Response team. With the most recent update, some areas will be allowed to start meeting in person again. The Girl Scout council is included in the setting named “meetings, events and gatherings (excluding in-person school or sports)" on the Restore Illinois Mitigation Plan website. Please follow the tiered mitigation schedule to find guidelines for the region where your troop meets. Our council's jurisdiction falls within Regions 3, 4, 5 and 6. See the State of Illinois' Coronavirus Response region map.
Guidelines During the COVID-19 Pandemic
The health and well-being of our girls, volunteers, and staff are our top concern during the COVID-19 pandemic. Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois will keep our activity guidelines up-to-date based on the most recent guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), as well as state and local officials and health experts.
Girls and adults must social distance and wear masks at all times.
Please abide by all guidelines for your region set by the State
of Illinois COVID-19 Response team. Thank you for helping keep our
girls, volunteers and communities safe and healthy!
Before meeting, please review all guidelines on our website. Waivers and pre-screening forms are found below.
