Guidelines During the COVID-19 Pandemic

The health and well-being of our girls, volunteers, and staff are our top concern during the COVID-19 pandemic. Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois will keep our activity guidelines up-to-date based on the most recent guidance from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), as well as state and local officials and health experts.

Girls and adults must social distance and wear masks at all times. Please abide by all guidelines for your region set by the State of Illinois COVID-19 Response team.  Thank you for helping keep our girls, volunteers and communities safe and healthy!

Before meeting, please review all guidelines on our website. Waivers and pre-screening forms are found below.

November 18, 2020 Update

In response to the State of Illinois' Tier 3 Mitigations going into effect on Friday, November 20th, all indoor service unit and troop activities should cease at that time. Service units and troops may transition to a virtual format or can hold outdoor meetings in groups of 10 participants or less. Any in-person, outdoor meetings will require face masks to be worn by all participants. Please refer to the State of Illinois’ Coronavirus Response webpage for any additional guidance.

As a reminder, Girl Scouts is offering an option for discounted Zoom licenses at $3 a month. This expanded Zoom option will give your troop more time to meet and access for more people to attend at once. If your troop is interested in a Zoom license, please notify your Service Unit Manager and contact Customer Care at or 800-345-6858.

Also, we have partnered with a coalition of nonprofits to distribute $20 computers to those in need in communities across Southern Illinois. See our PCs for People event schedule to learn more.

Thank you for your understanding as we all work together to stay safe and healthy!
