Join the Girl Scouts and the Edwardsville Garden Club for Hummingbird Magic at Camp Torqua, Saturday, May 1, 2027, in Edwardsville. This engaging and hands-on outdoor event invites girls and their families to explore the fascinating world of hummingbirds through learning, creativity, and nature-based activities. Girls will learn all about hummingbirds, including their migration patterns, diet, and the important role they play in ecology and the environment. Participants will mix their own hummingbird feeder solution and learn the skills needed to continue observing and learning about hummingbirds at home. Registration deadline is 4/12/27.
The girl member cost is $15 per girl and includes all supplies, a snack activity, and a special event fun patch. Family members are welcome to attend. Additional tag-a-longs are available for $20 each. Adults are free but must register. At least one adult is required to register and attend per family. Youth participants may only check in with their responsible adult present. Troop safety ratios must be met for this event. Please refer to the Safety Activity Check-points for Troop activity ratios.

This event is a wonderful opportunity for girls to connect with nature, build environmental awareness, and enjoy a fun afternoon at camp with the support of the Edwardsville Garden Club. We look forward to celebrating hummingbirds with you at Camp Torqua!
