The biggest Girl Scout adventures are still ahead.

Whether you have a girl in Girl Scouts or are a dedicated volunteer, so much has been accomplished, discovered, and explored over the past year. And there’s even more ahead—more opportunities to try new things and to remain part of something truly special, supportive, and inspiring year after year.

Out-of-pocket fees for girl members are $25 for an Annual Membership.
Girl membership fees are $65 for an Annual Membership. Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois will subsidize $40 of all Annual Memberships. These subsidies are for girl members only and will automatically be applied during signup.

Regardless of the cost, Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois would like all girls to continue their Girl Scout Leadership Experience. To renew today and request assistance, complete the Financial Assistance Application - Membership Fee.

The Girl Scout membership year runs from October 1, 2026 to September 30, 2027.

How to Renew Yourself or Your Family toggle arrow

Log into MyGS. You’ll need the email address and password you used to sign up for Girl Scouts. If you need help accessing your account, reach out—we’re happy to help!
Once you’ve logged into your account, click/tap “My Household” in the lefthand menu.
Check the “Select All” boxes or indicate the girls and adults in your household who you’d like to renew.
- If you’re not returning to the same troop or volunteer role, check the “Not Returning” box next to the troops or roles you’re not continuing with this year.
- You can continue to renew without choosing a new troop. Contact us to connect with a new opportunity in your area.
Click “Add Renewal.”
Confirm that the details for your household members are correct. Then, choose the membership year and select your desired payment type.
- Girl Scouting is open to all girls and adults regardless of their financial status. To apply for financial assistance for your membership, please complete the financial assistance form under "Online Forms for Members and Caregivers" on the Forms and Docs page.
Review your cart, agree to the Girl Scout Promise and Law, and add the renewed memberships to your cart.
Enter your credit card information for payment and submit.
You’re done! Once your order is processed, you'll receive an email confirmation of your membership renewal(s).

How to Renew Your Troop toggle arrow

Log into MyGS. You’ll need the email address and password you used to sign up for Girl Scouts. If you need help accessing your account, reach out—we’re happy to help!
Once you’ve logged into your account, click/tap “My Troops” in the lefthand menu.
Check the “Select All” boxes or indicate the girls and adults in your troop(s) who you’d like to renew.
- If any of your troop members are renewing themselves, requesting financial assistance, or using program credits to renew, please uncheck their boxes.
- If a volunteer isn’t returning to their role in your troop, please uncheck their boxes.
- Check the “Not Returning” box next to any troop members who aren’t continuing with your troop this year.
Click “Add Renewal.”
Confirm that the contact information for each troop member is correct. Then, choose the membership year and select your desired payment type.
Review your cart, agree to the Girl Scout Promise and Law, and add the renewed memberships to your cart.
Enter your credit card information for payment and submit.
You’re done! Once your order is processed, you'll receive an email confirmation of your troop renewal(s).

Why isn’t my username working?
Your username is typically your email address. If you have more than one email address, try each. You can also use the “Forgot Your Password?” link to send a reset email to your email address. If you’re still having trouble, contact our Customer Care team.

Why am I not receiving the password reset emails?
The password reset emails come from gsusacustomercare@girlscouts.org, so please make sure it’s added to your safe senders list. If you requested the reset email before marking our email address as safe, check your spam folder. If you’re still not receiving the email, contact our Customer Care team to verify that your username/email address is correct.

How do I reset my password when I no longer have access to the email address associated with my account?
Our Customer Care team can easily change your username/email address without requiring you to recreate your account. Contact us to get started.

Why can’t I see my family when I log in?
There are a couple reasons this could happen:

Another adult family member may be listed as the preferred contact on the account. That person must log in to renew. Contact our Customer Care team if you’d like to be listed as your household’s preferred contact.

You may have a second or duplicate account with a different email address. Try a different username. If that works, be sure to contact our Customer Care team to merge the two accounts into one.

Why can’t I see my troop(s) when I log in?
There are several reasons this could happen:

Troops are listed on a separate tab from your family. If you have more than one troop, look for the pull-down menu to change between them.
Check your member profile to make sure you’re listed as a volunteer in the troop.
Not all troop volunteers can access the troop tab. Contact us to see which volunteer roles they allow to access the tab.

If your background check has expired, you may lose access until it is up-to-date.

Changes to the Troop Renewal Process in MYGS toggle arrow

The membership discount codes will only work on girl memberships. The troop leader will need to renew any adults in a separate transaction.

The Financial Assistance button can still be selected for girls renewing in the troop. Customer Care will receive this notification, which will prompt an email to the parent/caregiver to complete the financial assistance form under "Online Forms for Members and Caregivers" on the Forms and Docs page.

This form must be returned in order to complete the membership renewal. In order to provide additional communication on this new process, troop leaders will receive a separate email from Customer Care to relay that we are waiting on the financial assistance application(s) before the renewal can be processed.
