
Summer Camp

Summer camp is a Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois tradition! Girls will explore leadership, build skills, and develop a deep appreciation for nature. Whether for a day, a weekend, or longer, Girl Scout camp gives girls an opportunity to grow, explore, and have fun!
Day Camp is for girls in kindergarten and above, with activities on two or more consecutive days for three hours or more. Girl Scout Day Camp is held in a variety of locations across southern Illinois. Resident Camps are offered to girls entering into second grade and up. Camps range from mini-sessions to week-long sessions. Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois 2023 Resident Camps are being offered at Camp Ondessonk in Ozark, Illinois, Camp Torqua in Edwardsville, Illinois and at 11 Point River in Missouri. Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois Resident Camps are girl-led, meaning girls will plan many of the activities with their counselors/volunteers, taking advantage of the resources available at the campsite. The Girl Scout Experience Fund (GSEF) supports each registered girl member of Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois so that she may experience activities that build courage, confidence, and character. Visit our GSEF page to learn more. GSEF grant requests are not income based and can be applied for in conjunction with Financial Assistance requests. Please note that GSEF requests must be submitted by a Troop Leader/Treasurer or Service Unit Manager/Treasurer.
