Smiles are sunnier, friendships form faster, dreams become bigger, and memories last forever. Time at Girl Scout Camp is time well spent!

Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois holds day camps each summer at various locations throughout our council. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of our awesome volunteers, our day camp program continues to provide girls with fun and engaging outdoor experiences.

This fun-filled two-day event was designed to introduce STEM concepts to our youngest Girl Scouts through creativity, hands-on learning, and teamwork. It was the perfect first camp experience for incoming Daisies and a great opportunity for Brownies to level up their skills while earning badges!

Girl Scouts discovered the joys of camp life while earning their Day Camp Progression Patch. Each day had new opportunities to build fires, sing camp songs, create crafts, explore nature on hikes, practice knife safety, try archery, dive into STEAM activities, and learn the basics of first aid.

The Girl Scout Experience Fund (GSEF) supports each registered girl member of Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois so that she may experience activities that build courage, confidence, and character. Visit our GSEF page to learn more. GSEF grant requests are not income based and can be applied for in conjunction with Financial Assistance requests. Please note that GSEF requests must be submitted by a Troop Leader/Treasurer or Service Unit Manager/Treasurer.
