Calling all aspiring young engineers and car enthusiasts!
Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors join us for Wheels and Wonders
Automotive Design Badge Day on April 26, 2025, from 9:00 am to 12:00
pm at Serra Honda. During this engaging and hands-on event, girls will
have the unique opportunity to step into the fascinating world of
automobile design. The cost is $15 per girl and includes the
Automotive Design badge. Registration deadline is April 7, 2025.
From learning about the various car parts and their functions to
exploring the secrets of aerodynamics and safety features, our young
Girl Scouts will discover what it takes to design and build safe,
efficient, and stylish automobiles.
Through interactive
demonstrations and fun exercises, the girls will unleash their
creativity by sketching their dream cars, designing personalized
logos, and even sculpting models of their automotive creations. They
will get a chance
to learn, ask questions, and gain valuable
insights into the world of automotive engineering.
This is NOT A
DROP OFF EVENT. Adults are required to remain with their Girl Scouts.
All adults participating with a troop or registered to volunteer at
the event are required to have a current/eligible background check
(CBC) and to be a
registered Girl Scout adult volunteer. As
required by Volunteer Essentials and Safety Activity Checkpoints,
adults attending this event are responsible for their troop or
individual Girl Scouts behavior. During non-drop off Girl Scout
events, adults attending the event are responsible for the safety and
well-being of the youth that are in their care during the event. Do
not leave your Girl Scouts in the care of other adults at the event
that are not part of your troop
or directly related to the
child.
THIS IS AN OUTDOOR EVENT. Activities will take place
outside, so all participants should wear weather-appropriate clothing.
Closed-toed shoes, socks, and a refillable water bottle are required.
Hat, sunscreen, and bug spray are
strongly recommended.
