Join us in Carlyle, IL from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for a relaxing day-long nature retreat focused on gratitude, reflection, and connection while learning how to submit nominations for the Recognition of Excellence annual adult awards.
This hands-on training will guide participants through the nomination process and provide practical support for identifying and recognizing outstanding volunteers. The experience is designed to support and honor the efforts of volunteers who make Girl Scouting possible, while strengthening a culture of gratitude across our community.
Throughout the day, participants will explore award criteria and the nomination process, enjoy time outdoors with a canoe/kayak paddle or nature walk, take part in reflective journaling activities, share stories over lunch, and receive dedicated time and facilitator support to begin or complete award nominations.
Whether you arrive with a specific nominee in mind or are simply learning more about the process, you will leave feeling inspired, supported, and better equipped to recognize the volunteers who make a meaningful impact in Girl Scouting. Cost is $5 per person
