ARC Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification course (valid
for 2 years) is a highly recommended course for at least one adult
volunteer in a troop to take to be the First Aider which is required
to have when participating in certain activities or camping.
This blended learning course includes an online portion (approx 4
hours) and an instructor-led classroom skills session (approx 2.5
hours). The online portion must be completed before attending the
in-class portion.
You will receive a link in your confirmation
letter to set up an account with the American Red Cross and launch the
online portion of the course. First Aid/CPR/AED training is
recommended for at least one adult volunteer in the troop. American
Red Cross (ARC) Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED and ARC Standard First Aid
certifications are valid for two years. This course is for those who
wish to obtain certification and requires a demonstration of skills
for certification.
