Join us for a fun, hands-on, all-ages Girl Scout Gardening Day as we
team up with volunteers from area Garden Clubs to beautify the park
and learn about nature together! Girls will rotate through
age-appropriate gardening and nature activities, getting their hands
dirty while learning from experienced gardeners and giving back to the
community. Girl cost is $5.
Badge & Award Opportunities:
Daisies will earn the Eco Learner award
Brownies will earn the
Bugs badge
Juniors will earn the Gardener badge
Cadettes,
Seniors, and Ambassadors - All PAT/CITs are invited to work
alongside
Garden Club members, help lead activities for younger
girls, assist with park
beautification, and earn volunteer hours
along with a fun patch!
Know Before You Go This is NOT a
drop-off event. Girl Scouts are required to be accompanied
by a caregiver, troop leader, or other trusted adult. Adults must
register at no cost.
Activities will take place outside, so all
participants should wear weather appropriate clothing. Closed-toed
shoes, socks, and a refillable water bottle are required. Hat,
sunscreen, and bug spray are strongly recommended.
This is a
great opportunity for girls of all ages to work together, learn from
community experts, and make a visible impact in our local park. Come
ready to dig, plant, learn, and grow-both gardens and leadership skills!
