Girl Scouts are invited to the second session of our Girls Mean
Business series on Saturday, January 31 at 1:00 p.m. at Jim's Suits
and Tuxedos in Trenton, IL. This one-hour program gives girls an
inside look at what it takes to build, operate, and grow a successful
small business.
During this session, Girl Scouts will meet the
entrepreneur behind Jim's Suits and Tuxedos and hear her inspiring
journey-from her early days as a Girl Scout to becoming a business
owner in the formalwear industry. Girls will learn about the history
of the business, its business model and strategic planning, and the
company values that guide day-to-day operations. The discussion will
also explore what it's like to navigate entrepreneurship as a female
business owner.
Girl Scouts will tour the building, see how the
business runs behind the scenes, and learn how to take professional
measurements. The program will conclude with open discussion and
Q&A, giving girls the opportunity to ask questions about
entrepreneurship, leadership, and running a business. Girl Scouts will
be able to attend this event virtually via Zoom if they are unable to
attend.
The cost is $5 per Girl Scout, and participants will
receive a patch for the Girls Mean Business: A Business Networking Series.
