Calling all Girl Scouts across the country! Join our Pen Pal Patch Program, created and designed by members of the 2025-2026 Older Girl Advisory Board. This winter, Girl Scouts from any council are invited to connect, write, and build friendships beyond their local community.
From November 1 through February 1, participants will exchange letters with a fellow Girl Scout from another troop or as a Juliette - potentially from a completely different state! This program encourages communication, creativity, leadership, and sisterhood while celebrating the diversity of Girl Scouting NATIONWIDE!
After registration closes, participants will be paired by troop or as Juliettes. All pairing information will be emailed directly to the adult who registered their Girl Scouts or Troop Leader to ensure safe and organized communication. Once the two adults are connected, it will be their responsibility to share their mailing addresses with one another and continue on with the program requirements.
It is the participants responsibility to purchase any stamps and/or letter-writing materials in order to participate.
More details about the program requirements will be sent out after the registration closes on October 19, 2026, so be sure to register on time! Because everyone needs to be matched by November 1st, we will be unable to accept late registrations.
Some details on patch patch requirements:
- Learn the history of Pen-Pal-ing!
- Contact your Pen-Pal at least twice a month via mail. You can write more letters as well! At the end of the program, you should receive a minimum of six letters.
- Learn as much as you can about your Pen Pal! The more the merrier!
At the completion of the program, an exclusive Pen Pal Program Patch, designed by our Older Girl Advisory Board members will be mailed out.
Pricing of this event includes the custom patch and shipping.

The price per Girl Scout is $8. The price per Adult is $4.
