Calling all GSofSI Girl Scouts! Join our CEO, Loretta Graham, as she leads Girl Scouts from throughout the council to march in the Veterans on Parade event in Marion! Before the parade begins, join Loretta in passing out Girl Scout Cookies to local heroes as a "thank you" for their service. Then, honor our veterans and first responders as Loretta leads our group down the parade route. Be sure to bring your singing voice! We all know Loretta loves to sing, and she will lead us all in singalongs throughout the parade. Bring your patriotic spirit and Girl Scout pride for a fun and rewarding morning with the CEO! This event is also a great opportunity for Girl Scouts who want to work towards their Honoring Our Veterans patch!

Girl cost is $4 and includes a commemorative patch and patriotic swag to wear during the parade. Adults must register at no cost.

Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather in red, white, and blue (and your Girl Scout sash or vest, of course)!

This is NOT A DROP OFF EVENT. Adults are required to remain with their Girl Scouts. As required by Volunteer Essentials and Safety Activity Checkpoints, adults attending this event are responsible for their troop or individual Girl Scout's behavior. During non-drop off Girl Scout events, adults attending the event are responsible for the safety and well-being of the youth that are in their care during the event. Do not leave your Girl Scouts in the care of other adults at the event that are not part of your troop or directly related to the child. All adults participating with a troop at the event are required to have a current/eligible background check (CBC) and to be a registered Girl Scout adult volunteer.
