Don't let the fun end when the Day at the Capitol festivities wrap up! Girl Scouts attending the Girl Scouts of Central Illinois Day at the Capitol in May 2027 are invited to continue the adventure with an overnight tent camp-out at Camp Illinek, hosted by Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois. The cost is $30 per person.
After a day of exploring Springfield, learning about civic engagement, and taking part in the Capitol festivities, head to camp for an evening of outdoor fun, fellowship, and camping under the stars. Settle into your tent, enjoy dinner around camp, and make memories with Girl Scouts from across Illinois! The next morning, grab a quick breakfast before packing up and heading home.

Supervision: This is not a drop-off event. Troop Leaders/caregivers are required to provide appropriate adult safety ratio and supervision for their attending Girl Scout and/or troop throughout the event, per Girl Scouts Safety Activity Checkpoints. This is considered a high-risk event: all girls will need to be registered Girl Scouts, and all attending adults will need to be background checked.
