Troop Travel: 2026 Important Reminders
Is your troop planning a trip? Here is some essential information to keep in mind.
Short-Term Rentals
Please, do not use Vrbo. The insurance is challenging to verify, and travel requests have been denied due to this issue. If your troop would like to use short-term rentals, Airbnb is recommended.
Travel Request Submissions
Submit requests as early as possible. To ensure our Program Team can adequately review requests, submit troop travel requests according to the guidelines. Late troop travel requests cannot be guaranteed.
Certificates of Insurance
Before traveling, reach out and obtain your Certificates of Insurance (COIs). We recommend you contact the vendor for requisition. Please submit COIs to Customer Care.
We can send GSofSI’s COI to respective vendors if needed, as well.
