Congratulations to Theresa Gratton from Alton! She is being recognized with Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois' Volunteer Spotlight Award for her service with Service Unit 101 Alton/Godfrey/Wood River/Roxana
Volunteer Spotlight Awards celebrate volunteers who are honored by their peers for living the Girl Scout Law. Here is why Theresa is being recognized as a shining example of a great volunteer:
"Theresa has been a Leader for over 20 years and is an integral part of our service unit. She brings a wealth of Girl Scout knowledge as she also was a girl member through high school. Theresa is someone that we can always count on to show up when help is needed. She is someone that we can trust to follow through with any task, planning, or leadership promised.
For the last three years, Theresa has ensured that her troop is available to perform the flag ceremony at our Service Unit Investiture and Rededication Ceremony, as well as our Service Unit Bridging Ceremony. Theresa has also coordinated an activity for the girls that participate in the Investiture and Rededication so that leaders can hold a monthly meeting after the ceremony. In addition, she has also helped plan and coordinate our Cookie Rally, and steps in to help at Service Unit Meetings when needed.
Theresa is someone you can count on to always count on to live by the Girl Scout Law: It is ingrained in who she is as a person, leader, and friend."
