New Leader Onboarding is being enhanced to connect each new troop leader and co-leader to the training path. GSUSA has reorganized the training path to support the new leader throughout their first 12 months instead of their first 90 days. Some of the enhancements include:
- After registering and being appointed as a new leader, the Adult Education team will send an individual welcome email containing important information and links, as well as a request to schedule a call to personally review all resources.
- A New Leader Welcome Packet will be mailed to the troop leader. The package will contain the New Leader Manual, New Leader Workbook, important resources, and a free gift.
- Support from council staff will include invitations to additional resouces, including: independent learning, virtual or in-person evening and weekend classrooms and training sessions, invitations to tje Rallyhood community, and an introduction to Leader's Loot, which is our latest incentive program.
- Throughout the first year, troop leaders can expect ongoing contact, support and counsel to further assist their development and understanding as they lead new troops.
