Service Unit 102 Granite City/Madison/Venice Named August Standout Service Unit
Congratulations to Service Unit 102 Granite City/Madison/Venice for earning the Monthly Standout Service Unit Award for August!
Girl Scouts of all ages came together at Camp Torqua for an incredible weekend filled with adventure, learning, and friendship. The girls hiked the trails, cooked over campfires, enjoyed a hayride, tried out hammocks, learned archery, made SWAPS, sang songs, made new friends, and learned about Leave No Trace. They also earned multiple badges along the way!
When the weather changed, the girls showed incredible Girl Scout Spirit. Even with the rain, they continued to make the most of their weekend and create memories together.
A special thank you to Carrie Ramsey for organizing this amazing experience and working with Ranger Wayne to adjust the schedule as the weather changed. Her flexibility and dedication helped ensure the girls still had a fantastic weekend.
We are so grateful to all of the Service Unit 102 volunteers who make experiences like this possible for Girl Scouts.
Tell us what makes your Service Unit stand out! Nominate them for a chance to highlight your volunteers and win a $50 gift card to the GSofSI Council Shop!
