Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois' FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Teams finished a fine season by being awarded at the Southern Central League Tournament on Feb. 7 in Trenton.
Gear Girls won the Inspire Award 2nd Place, which honors a team that "is a strong ambassador for FIRST programs and a role model FIRST team." P3 won the Reach Award, which "celebrates a team that has introduced and recruited new people into FIRST" and "sparked others to embrace FIRST culture."
In FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC), students in grades 7-12 learn to think like engineers. Teams design, build, and code robots to compete in an alliance format against other teams. Thank you to American Water Charitable Foundation for their support during this season's robotics programs.
