Join Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois as we journey to Washington DC!
Explore DC Landmarks with your fellow Girl Scout sisters as we explore the city.This council trip will be girl led and girl focused meaning while we will have planned guided tours, two days of our trip will be planned out by our Girl Scout travelers! Meeting dates will be discussed after the registration deadline.
This council trip is open to Cadettes, Seniors, Ambassadors, and Adult Travel Advisors.
5th grade Juniors MUST be entering 6th grade and bridging to Cadette by Fall 2024 in order to be eligible to attend.

PRICING: Girl Scout Pricing: $1500 Adult Travel Advisor Chaperone Pricing: $1500 *Deposit of $500 is due at the time of registration.

* ADULT TRAVEL ADVISOR APPLICATIONS OPEN: Our mission is to provide programs that are girl led and girl focused. With that, we are seeking at minimum 3 adults to be Travel Advisors for this trip who will help to chaperone the trip and help guide our Girl Scouts throughout this trip.
The cost to be a Travel Advisor for this trip is $1500.
Registration information and payment will be collected upon acceptance.

NOTE FOR PARENTS, CAREGIVERS, and TROOP LEADERS: All adult travel advisor registrants must have a current Girl Scout membership and clear a criminal background check by the time of trip departure. Due to the length of this trip, a medical examination or health physical form will need to be signed and completed by a licensed physician, nurse practitioner, or registered nurse within the past 24 months unless a health issue is present for all trip attendees.
THIS TRIP INCLUDES: - Round-trip transportation from St. Louis International Airport to Reagan National Airport. (NOTE: Transportation to/from STL Airport is NOT included) - 4 overnight stays in a hotel - Breakfast daily (potential exception due to arrival time) - Lunch daily - Dinner daily (potential exception due to departure time) - Daily Metro Pass - All ticket and fees for Guided Tours - GSofSI Fun Patch - T-Shirt
SAMPLE SCHEDULE: Monday, July 29, 2024 Arrival Day. Arrival time is TBD. We will meet at STL Airport and board the plane together.
NOTE: transportation to/from STL Airport is NOT included.
We will settle into our hotel and kick off the evening with a guided night tour of Washington DC.
Tuesday, July 30, 2024 Girl led activities, museums, explore Metro stops, visit DC landmarks
Wednesday, July 31, 2024 Girl led activities, museums, explore Metro stops, visit DC landmarks
Thursday, August 1, 2024 Last adventure day and wrapping it up with another guided tour.
Friday, August 2, 2024 Departure Day.
Departure time is TBD.
Hotel check-out is 11:00 a.m.
