GSofSI Holds Annual Meeting and Recognition of Excellence Awards Ceremony
On April 27, Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois held our Annual Meeting and Recognition of Excellence awards ceremony in Mt. Vernon.

This August, Girl Scouts are taking over local water parks! We will celebrate the upcoming year with private parties at three venues: Charleston Rotary Aquatic Center, Collinsville Aqua Park, and Carbondale Super Splash Park.
All girl and adult GSofSI Girl Scouts who sign up for the 2026 Membership Year by June 9 will be eligible to attend any or all of these exciting events! Girl Members will also receive a colorful custom patch designed by GSofSI Girl Scout Lilah from Troop 623!

GSUSA has released some amazing new resources, called Badge Booklets, for helping troops easily complete badge work! You can download the booklet digitally in the Volunteer Toolkit (VTK). Visit your “Meeting Plan” tab, then find the badge you want. The booklet will be available to download under the description of the badge.
Also, these badge booklets are available in print as well! Pop into the Council Shop at #4 Ginger Creek Parkway in Glen Carbon or shop online to purchase Badge Booklets in print!

Patch Point: Asthma Awareness
Girl Scouts will learn about the respiratory system, asthma, and how to respond in an asthma emergency.
Dr. Metcalf-Lindberger to Visit GSofSI STEM Camp
Dr. Dorothy Metcalf-Lindenburger, NASA astronaut and mission specialist, will visit STEM Camp on July 15. She will share her memories of working in space and her journey of becoming a leader in STEM. Girl Scouts are invited to attend STEM Camp as a day camp or overnight camp experience, or join us virtually for her inspiring presentation.

Learn from local businesswomen! Meet Annie Sauget Miller, CEO of East County Enterprises, where she manages several businesses including the Gateway Grizzlies! Joining Ms. Miller Sauget will be Dr. Erin Joy, a business and psychology coach.
Girl Scouts are going to a Gateway Grizzlies baseball game in style! This event includes a field seat ticket to an evening game, with a marshmallow extravaganza post-game. Then, enjoy a movie on the videoboard and sleep under the stars on the baseball field!
