Camp Torqua Welcomes New Updates |

Camp Torqua has new cabins that are ready to open! The Pines is a four-cabin site split into Units A and B, it features an on-site pavilion and is nestled in the scenic grove of pine trees on the west side of camp.
Units A and B each contain two cabins available for year-round overnight use. Each cabin sleeps 12, for a total of 24 per unit. Reservations are expected to open on March 10, with the first booking slots available for Friday, March 14. .

In addition, we are pleased to announce that new bunk beds have been installed in the cabins at Pumpkin Patch! Girl Scouts who have camped at Pumpkin Patch recently have given them rave reviews. |

New Cookie Program Opportunity |

In honor of Girl Scout Week, GSofSI is giving its girl members a bonus week to participate in the Girl Scout Cookie Program. The Cookie Program has officially been extended until Sunday, March 16. This move will not affect the ACH date that is already set. Unpaid caregiver balances, troop rewards and troop allocations will be due March 18. Thank you for continuing to ensure the presence of Girl Scouts in your communities during such an important week in the Movement! |

Introducing the Girl Scout Driver Role |

As a youth serving organization, safety is always our number one priority. In order to continue to support this priority, a driver record check will be required for any volunteer who transports Girl Scout members to an activity that takes place outside of their typical meeting space. March 17 is the Deadline for Volunteer Training Summit and Volunteer Appreciation Events |

The deadline to sign up for Volunteer Training Summit is approaching quickly! Join us on March 29 at Camp Torqua to explore valuable learning sessions, to relax and connect with other volunteers, and to meet some of our preferred program partners.
Session topics include planning badge work, camp utilization, travel, mental wellness and team-building, and much more! VTS attendees also have the option to stay Friday and/or Saturday night at Camp Torqua.
There will be Volunteer Appreciation events on Friday and Saturday nights - all adult members are invited! Plus, certification training courses are available on Sunday. |
