Take the Girl Scouts Love the Outdoors Challenge
Spending time in nature is associated with improved mood, focus, and confidence. There are so many options to explore—from the window, a campsite, the sidewalk, or an open trail. Girl Scouts are invited to earn an exciting new patch by completing fun activities this summer through the Girl Scouts Love the Outdoors Challenge!
There are still many possibilities in store in Girl Scouts! Sign up for another year of adventure today. Plus, all girl members who renew by June 9 will get a colorful custom patch. All girl and adult members are eligible to attend our Girl Scouts Take Over Water Parks events happening in August!
Membership financial assistance is available. Please note that there is a new application process.
Volunteer Mary Anne Hopper Recognized with GSofSI Heart of Gold Award
Congratulations to Mary Anne Hopper for being honored with GSofSI's Heart of Gold Award. Mary Anne started volunteering in Girl Scouts with her daughter’s troop in the late 1980s and has dedicated incredible service ever since. Calling all Girl Scouts to "Lend a Paw" to help local animal shelters through our new summer community service project! From June 1 to Aug. 31, Girl Scouts will collect much-needed items for local animal shelters, including pet food, toys, and supplies. The program will conclude with a special Girl Scouts Lend a Paw Day! This event is free, but please register by July 7 to earn a special patch.

Summer Camp Trading Post
The Council Shop Trading Post will be at camps this summer! Girl Scouts can shop for plush toys, Girl Scout themed gear, and other fun mementos to remember their camp experience.
Visit Our Build-A-Bear Workshop Through our partnership with Build-A-Bear Workshop, Girl Scouts can create their own custom furry friend at our Council Shop. Visit our location at #4 Ginger Creek Parkway in Glen Carbon during open hours or shop online!

Patch Point: Asthma Awareness
Girl Scouts will learn about the respiratory system, asthma, and how to respond in an asthma emergency.
NASA Mission Specialist to Visit GSofSI STEM Camp
Dorothy Metcalf-Lindenburger, NASA astronaut and mission specialist, will visit STEM Camp on July 15. She will share her memories of working in space and her journey of becoming a leader in STEM. Girl Scouts are invited to attend STEM Camp as a day camp or overnight camp experience, or join us virtually for her inspiring presentation.
Girl Scouts are going to a Gateway Grizzlies baseball game in style! This event includes a field seat ticket to an evening game, with a marshmallow extravaganza post-game. Then, enjoy a movie on the videoboard and sleep under the stars on the baseball field!
