Happy Volunteer Appreciation Month |

Participation Perks of Cookie Program, Take 2 |
 |
Cookie Program, Take 2 will run until May 30, with additional opportunities and incentives!
This year's cookie season contained many challenges, and this additional program will allow Girl Scouts to choose to continue their sales. As explained in a previous message from CEO Loretta Graham, our council is currently facing a shortfall towards our cookie goals, but there is still time to make progress. Additional incentives include:
-
Service Units will earn at least $0.05 per each additional package picked up after April 1st.
-
Once the Service Unit hits their goal, they will earn $0.10 per package.
-
The Service Unit that sells the highest percentage during this time will earn a SU campout at Camp Torqua!
-
Troops will earn $1.20 per additional package that is picked up after April 1.
-
Each girl who sells 50 packages during this time period will earn a coupon for $10 off a special item from the GSofSI Council Shop that will be announced at the end of April.
-
The top 5 sellers during this Take 2 time frame, who sell a minimum of 200 boxes, will earn an all-expense paid trip to the 2026 Girl Scouts National Convention in Washington D.C. for her and one caregiver.
Girl Scouts can participate with troop members or as Individually Registered Girl Scouts. Follow the button below to learn more or find out how to get started. |

Spring Volunteer Training Reminders |
 |
Springtime is a great time to make sure that your volunteer training is up-to-date and you're ready for adventure!
Be sure to take the Understanding Your Role training while renewing for a new year in a volunteer role. Check to see if you need to refresh your Illinois Mandated Reporter Training, as well.
Plus, it's a great time to make sure your Outdoor Training certifications are current. Watch our Event Calendar for training sessions for courses such as Camping Out, Archery, Water Watchers, and Small Craft Safety Training (Flat or Moving Water Canoe).
If you have a group of six of more volunteers who need a specific training, your Service Unit Manager can submit a Training By Request form to organize a local training session. |
